I just got rid of it yesterday. being on dialup I was not able to stay online long enough to get any patches or scanners to remove it, my computer would run as long as i was not online, once connected to the internet within 4 minutes a box would popup and start a 1 minute countdown to restart. I had to manually remove it, system works fine now and is clean according to virus software. here is what i had to do. ctrl+shift+escape to bring up task manager, under processes select msblast and end it. delete msblast files found in windows\system32 windows\prefetch run regedit and delete msblast entries under hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\current version\run also under hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\current version\windows update do a search of the registery for mblast and msblast, delete any entries found, i found 2 more entries in mine but was so tired of messing with it by this time i neglected to write the location down. sorry, after doing this reserach your registery and your drives for both files just to be sure you cant find anything. reboot you system to clear it from memory before getting online again. recheck the system32 and prefetch folders to make sure msblast didnt return. This process worked for me and my system is running fine now. good luck.
